I fished the balmore rd stretch for the 1st time this year 2weeks ago as i keep hearing of the gd increasing number of salmon. i was only on for couple of hours after work and i hooked and landed 2 fish in the space of an hour in the same pool 1st 1 a very red cok fish of about 5lbs and the 2nd a very clean hen of about 7lbs 1st 1 on a yellow flamethrower and the 2nd on a red pot bellied pig ...i couldnt believe it ...but now i will fish for salmon with confidence on my local river.
yes it is truly great news for the local man who wishes he had the chance to fish for the king of fish but thought it was for the rich men of the world, and now its avalible to all us its just fantastic....
